People go for the
outdoor life in a big way in the Suwannee River Valley. Freshwater
springs, lakes and 5 rivers make the valley a water sports playground.
A few minutes in any direction will bring you to a stream that invites
you to drop in your canoe for a relaxing ride. Fishing is a prime
pastime here. The rivers here are filled with bass, panfish and even
sturgeon.
The annual Suwannee Bicycle Festival held each spring in Live Oak is
one of several cycling events that take advantage of the numerous
bicycle routes throughout the region. We have trails that provide
scenic exploration both on and off the road. Hiking and camping along
our many nature trails also offer the opportunity to observe native
wildlife such as deer, otters, alligators and beavers in their natural
habitat.
Our parks represent some of Florida's last frontiers. They are
designed to maintain the same appearances they had when the first
Europeans arrived. All plants and wildlife in these parks are
protected. |

A bit farther afield,
Manatee Springs State Park is a fascinating family recreation area
where gentle manatees can often be seen playing in clear, cool
waters.
We invite you to share in the natural beauty of our wonderful area.
Feel free to write, call or - best of all - visit us here in Live
Oak. We will be delighted to help you with all of your real estate
needs.
